Directions to Mr. Bhandari's Home

The easiest way to reach Mr. Bhandari's home is from the Mitra Park Chowk, which lies between Gosala and Chabahil on Ring Road. From Mitra Park, follow the steep downhill road to Gauri Ghat Chowk and continue past the small bridge along the left bank of the Bagmati river. Follow the road for approximately 300m until you come to a small, single concrete house on the riverbank; the path leading to Mr. Bhandari's house is directly opposite. Mr. Bhandari's house is the fourth house on the left. If you have any difficulty finding the house, you can ask directions from any of the local shopkeepers or you can phone Mr. Bhandari at 4491666 (home).

From Boudha

To reach Mr. Bhandari's house from Boudha, take the wide, unpaved path opposite the stupa gate marked "To Pashupatinath." Follow this path for 10-15 minutes until you come to the bank of the Bagmati river, directly opposite the Gujeshwari temple. From here, turn right without crossing the river and follow the road until you reach the small concrete house marking the path to Mr. Bhandari's house, as indicated above.

From Central Kathmandu (including Thamel or Durbar Square)

To reach Mr. Bhandari's house from central Kathmandu, take blue minibus #2 to Mitra Park and then follow the directions given above. Buses leave continuously from the Ratna Park minibus park in central Kathmandu, located just south of the Rani Pokhari pond between Kantipath and Durbar Marg, about a 15-20 walk from either Thamel or Durbar Square. The #2 minibus also goes to Gosala, Chabahil and Boudha. A metered taxi fare to Mr. Bhandari's house from Thamel should cost approximately 80 rupees.
